Looks like Farmville has something cooking. The new Farmville splash screen is showing a teaser “coming soon” so we might see something interesting in coming days. May be a new animal will be added but it still is not clear yet. Let’s see what comes out of it and when it comes out, may be on this St. Patricks’ day. Here is the teaser that Farmville is showing.

Ever thought of creating and sending physical postcards of your own choice to anywhere in the world? Now you can do this from your iPhone, Windows Mobile or from your Facebook Account. Postino is a Facebook app that enables you to create and send physical postcards worldwide. Physical postcards are delivered printed on high quality paper. There’s whole lot of options to create physical postcards using Postino, these can be made with your custom photos (uploaded from the PC or from the Facebook albums) and messages. What I really loved about the app was the range of experimentation you can perform on postcards, photos can be cropped, zoomed and positioned inside an optional frame (themes include some seasons, Christmas, Easter, Kids party, New born, Love and more). The app is very straightforward and fast to use (everything is done via AJAX, so no page reloads and post-backs).

Postino was originally developed for iPhone and basking on huge success, the owners decided to launch the Facebook version. The iPhone version however offered some additional features like the ability to send e-cards in addition to physical cards, draw a signature with your finger on the touchscreen, and include your GPS position with a link to Google Maps) available on the App. These things of course wouldn’t have been possible in Facebook version. So, the guys at Angurialab made the Facebook and iPhone versions to communicate with each other which meant that you could buy some stamps from either the Facebook or the iPhone version, and then share the stamps between the two apps…so that you use the iPhone while on the go, and Facebook once at home. To add more diverse range of platforms to Postino, a Windows Mobile edition is has also been launched recently enabling users to create and print your own custom stamps from iPhone, Windows Mobile or using Facebook.

Character

“Maniac” is the character that you should go with if you are new to Facebook Mafia Wars.

Family

You should grow you mafia family until it reaches 501 members after that the additional members don’t contribute in a fight as you have only that much weapons. You can grow your family by asking your friends to join in or link to other players on the network pages. You can also join an email mass add to add players.

Godfather Points

If you have ten points then you should go for an energy refill. If you have 14 points you can get 4 extra points. These points can be spent on buying but adding them to the stats is a much better option.

Profile Points

You should know how to use your mafia points in order to be successful in Mafia Wars. You should increase energy and put points into that. After you have increase your level put the points into defense. Increasing defense will help you win fights and gain experience. When your have increased your level you should add points in other areas.

Mafia Wars Boss

Boss fights can be used to gain maximum experience points to advance your level. Ideally, you should keep just the right amount of stamina required to fight the boss and use up the rest. Boss fights don’t give you any bonuses but you can use them to gain maximum experience.

Friends for Sale is a Facebook application that allows you to buy other Facebook members and make them your pets. The pets you make can poke other people, send gifts or just show off for you. This application can be used to make money as a pet investor or as a pet. With the “Help” button you seek the help of the moderator.

You can make yourself worth more money with friends for Sale when someone buys you as a pet. As more people buy you as a pet you earn more money in the “Value” category.

You will be able to make a profit when you purchase a pet and then sell it to someone else. When you buy a pet the value of the pet increases and the sale price of your pet is their increased value. You can also earn money through the offers and shopping options in the bonus Money at the top of your profile.

You customize your profile by adding extra information to it as well. For this, you can to go to your Friends for Sale profile by clicking on your username. The “edit description” link in the about me section will allow you to do this.

You can also choose the people who can choose you as pets. If you don’t want strangers to see you can set your Facebook privacy settings accordingly. You can set privacy settings in the Search category to “Friends Only,” this will show you as a question mark to players who are not your friend.

The Slayers application allows you to team up with your friends and slay the creatures of the night: Vampires, Zombies and Werewolves. You can do your slayer training individually or team up with other slayers. However, you don’t have to be slayer if you don’t like to, you can be on the other side by becoming a Werewolf, Zombie, Vampire or all four.

Your slayer game page has optionssuch as hire, rank, fight and rituals. You will start by building and army.With a big army you can be become more powerful and the number of quests you can do will also increase. You can increase your army by asking your friends to join or hire mercenires. The maximum level you can reach in the game is 20. Slayers have the option to perform rituals to do great feats. You will be able to get great abilities by sacrifising you relics on the alter.

The application has some new updates in the form of achievements, quests and items.

You can use new armors that are more effective against specific monsters, and new weapons that give you the edge when you need it are available to you. You can buy Wolfs bane, which is particularly effective against Werewolves, or use the Brain Saver to keep those Zombies from taking your brain out.

With the updated achievement section you can earn bonuses for reaching targets. The quests section allows you to play the game with the aim of getting more items and earning money.

You can use the “Compare People” application to see where you, your friends or other people rank in different categories: smartest, cutest and others. Your score is calculated by multiplying your wins with your winning percentage.

In order to appear on the ranking lists you need to be compared twice. Your ranking is based on your score. You can be ranked in more than one category. By using the “Where do I fit in” option you can find the categories that you are ranked in. If you want to find out where you stand in the worldwide rankings including every person that has ever been compared on Facebook, you can use the “Hall of Fame” option. If you just want to find you position among your friends you can do that with “Inner Circle”.

In case you find that you can’t compare people anymore, it may be because you have already exhausted all the combinations of people and questions. This problem can be fixed by adding another friend.

The “Where do I fit” list has comments that people made on your picture. You can also delete comments if you like to. For deleting a non anonymous comment 4 user need to mark it as wanted to be deleted. For anonymous comment, 2 users are required. Facebook Compare People can be used to see where you fit in the Facebook user rankings.
